Fosse A L'ecrivain

St. Saviour

(Postcode JE2 7HU)

In the year of 1692, a drunken Mr. Lecrivain was being hunted by the local authorities. In an effort to evade capture, Mr. Lecrivain jumped over a wall and landed rather awkward. He later died, and was buried there. A "Fosse" is French slang for a ditch (or grave). The road was named after Mr. Lecrivain's grave.
